EUDR Compliance Statement

Premier Paper Group – EUDR Compliance Statement
Preparedness and Partnership for Deforestation-Free Trade

The European Union Deforestation Regulation (EUDR) replaces the EU Timber Regulation (EUTR) and will come into effect on 30th December 2025. This regulation is designed to ensure that the manufacture of a number of commodities including paper and pulp do not contribute to deforestation or forest degradation. It places strict due diligence obligations on companies placing these products on the EU market.

At Premier Paper Group (PPG), encompassing Premier Paper, Premier GPMI and WBC, we are fully committed to environmental responsibility and sustainability. Whilst we are continuing to comply with UKTR and EUTR, we are actively preparing to be fully EUDR compliant ahead of the enforcement deadline of 30th December 2025, ensuring no disruption to your business operations.

Product Origins

Most of the products that are available from Premier originate within the EU. They are therefore subject to upstream EUDR compliance and will be registered within the EU’s TRACES database by our suppliers prior to being sold to Premier – the relevant Reference and Verification numbers (RNs and VNs) will be provided to Premier when we buy these goods from our suppliers, and we will store this information on a traceability platform (Interu) so that it can be provided to customers on demand when required.

We will also require non-EU suppliers to provide us with the necessary RNs and VNs so that we can be sure that the necessary Due Diligence has been undertaken even if the goods are not to be placed into the European market in the first instance – we will store this information securely so that we can provide this to customers when requested.

Our Commitments:

  • EUDR-Ready by Q4 2025: We are on track to be fully compliant well before the  December 2025 deadline. Our due diligence systems are being upgraded this summer to meet all regulatory obligations.
  • Trusted Technology Partner - Interu: In partnership with Interu (iov42), we are
implementing a traceability platform to manage EUDR-required data, including geolocation, risk assessment, and mitigation records. This ensures seamless, structured data flow to support your own compliance.
  • Certified Responsible Sourcing: All relevant products meet the highest standards of
sustainable sourcing, with FSC® and PEFC certifications as part of our DDS (Due Diligence System). Our compliance extends across both UKTR and EUTR frameworks.
  • Full Supply Chain Transparency: Whether products originate in EUDR ‘low-risk’ or ‘standardrisk’ countries, our system will trace all relevant materials and provide Reference and Verification Numbers where applicable.
  • Support for Your Compliance: For Premier Paper customers who subsequently sell to their customers in the EU we will obtain, store, and be able to provide on demand the RN and VN which the European customer can then use in their own Due Diligence submission to EU TRACES. Premier GPMI will obtain, store and provide to customers the Reference Number and Verification number for any products in scope that we place on the European market. Interu will store this information on our behalf, and we will provide this information to customers as proof of our EUDR compliance.

What This Means for You:

  • You can continue to source from Premier Paper Group with confidence that we will assist
you and your customers to meet all EUDR obligations.
  • We will be able to provide full compliance information and all necessary reference and
    verification numbers.
