Statement of Compliance 

Premier Paper Group supplies a wide range of paper, board, packaging and associated graphical products manufactured by third-party suppliers. Premier Paper Group does not manufacture the products it supplies and therefore relies on the relevant manufacturer or upstream supplier for detailed information concerning the composition and regulatory status of individual products. We recognise our obligations under applicable REACH legislation and are committed to working with our suppliers and customers to support compliance throughout the supply chain.

References to REACH in this statement include, where applicable, Regulation (EC) No. 1907/2006 and the corresponding UK REACH regime. Product-specific compliance requirements may vary depending on the jurisdiction in which products are supplied or used. 

REACH compliance

Products supplied by Premier Paper Group are sourced from established manufacturers and suppliers who are expected to comply with the REACH requirements applicable to their products and activities.

Where applicable, our suppliers are responsible for ensuring that substances used in the manufacture of their products are appropriately registered, authorised or otherwise managed in accordance with REACH. 

Premier Paper Group does not intentionally add substances to products supplied by us for the purpose of circumventing REACH requirements.

Substances of Very High Concern (SVHCs)

Premier Paper Group monitors relevant information provided by our suppliers concerning Substances of Very High Concern (SVHCs) included on the REACH Candidate List. Where an article supplied by Premier Paper Group contains an SVHC included on the Candidate List at a concentration greater than 0.1% by weight, the applicable information provided by the manufacturer or supplier will be communicated to customers where required under Article 33 of REACH. The REACH Candidate List is subject to change. Consequently, the regulatory status of an individual product may need to be reviewed against the Candidate List applicable at the relevant time. 

Product-specific information

A corporate REACH statement cannot, by itself, establish the detailed REACH status or chemical composition of every individual product supplied by Premier Paper Group. Where a customer requires confirmation relating to a particular product, product range or substance, Premier Paper Group may obtain and provide relevant information from the manufacturer or upstream supplier.

Such information may include, where applicable: 

  • confirmation of REACH compliance;
  • information concerning SVHCs;
  • confirmation regarding applicable REACH restrictions;
  • Safety Data Sheets (SDS), where applicable;
  • supplier declarations or statements concerning the chemical composition or regulatory status of the product. 

The information supplied by manufacturers and upstream suppliers is relied upon by Premier Paper Group when responding to product-specific regulatory enquiries. 

Limitations of this statement

This statement is intended to describe Premier Paper Group's general approach to REACH and should not be interpreted as a declaration that every product supplied by Premier Paper Group has an identical chemical composition or regulatory status. 
Product-specific REACH information should be assessed using the most recent information available from the relevant manufacturer or upstream supplier. Where a customer requires confirmation for a particular product, Premier Paper Group will, where appropriate, liaise with the relevant supplier to obtain the necessary supporting information. This statement is based on the regulatory requirements applicable at the date of issue and may be reviewed and updated where legislation or relevant regulatory requirements change. 

Any REACH-related information provided by Premier Paper Group is based on information supplied by manufacturers, suppliers and other upstream parties. Whilst Premier Paper Group takes reasonable steps to obtain regulatory information from manufacturers and suppliers, it cannot guarantee the accuracy, completeness or continued validity of information provided by third parties.
